I picked up a camera for the first time in college, and what started as curiosity turned into the thing I couldn't put down. But if you ask the people who know me best, they'll tell you what I really am, at my core, is an educator. I love teaching photography almost as much as I love making images, and that instinct shows up in every session I shoot.

Being an educator means I never walk into a shoot assuming you know how to feel comfortable in front of a camera, because most people don't, and that's not a flaw, it's just normal. I break down what I'm doing and why as we go, so you understand the process instead of just enduring it. The best images happen when a client feels like a collaborator, not a subject, and that only happens when they actually understand what we're building together.

That's the thread that runs through everything I do, whether I'm behind the camera on a personal branding session or teaching someone else how to see light the way I do. I want you to walk away from working with me not just with photos you love, but with a little more understanding of what made them work.
